How do you build a list fast?
There are two things that are important when trying to build a list fast: traffic and a high-converting squeeze page.
Thats it. Now, you need much more to make the list convert, to make money, etc. but if we are just talking about building a list fast and we are then you only need traffic and an effective squeeze page.
So what kinds of traffic are effective for list building?
Generally, for list building, I like more personal forms of traffic than for other purposes. You see, when someone gets to my squeeze page, I want them to feel as though they already know me. Then, it is easier to get the click into my email list.
So what kind of traffic should you use?
I prefer article marketing traffic, ezine advertising, joint venture traffic, and unpaid search engine traffic. All of these are effective for generating a warm visitor to your squeeze page.
For my squeeze page, I like to keep it really simple, and you should too. I think you should only have one option on the squeeze page for someone to opt in to your email list. Thats it no PPC no articles nothing. Just an opt in box for your list.
To make the decision nice and easy for your visitors, offer a free gift of some kind. I like to write a pdf and use that as my free gift. There is practically no marginal cost to producing one additional copy of the pdf.
